Markets tumble after all-time high: Sensex falls 426 points to close at 79,924, Nifty also down 108 points

The stock market closed lower today i.e. July 10, which was earlier at an all-time high.  During trading, the Sensex was at an all-time high of 80,481 and the Nifty at 24,459.  However, the Sensex ended the day’s trade down 426 points at 79,924.

Also, the Nifty also fell by 108 points to close at 24,324.  Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 declined and 9 gained.

Shares of Emcure Pharma rose 31% and Bansal Wire rose 37%
Shares of Emcure Pharma traded on BSE at a premium of 31.45% at Rs.  1,325.05 were listed.  It traded on the NSE with a premium of 31.45% at Rs.  1,325.05 was listed.  Its issue price was Rs 1,008.  After intra-day trading, the stock rose 2.91% on BSE to Rs.  closed at 1363.65.

Whereas, shares of Bansal Wire traded at a premium of 37.5% on BSE at Rs.  352.05 was listed.  It traded on the NSE with a premium of 39.1% at Rs.  356 was listed.  Its issue price was Rs 256.  After intra-day trading, the stock on BSE was down 0.57% at Rs.  closed at 350.05.

Mixed business in Asian markets today

Asian markets are witnessing mixed business today.  Japan’s Nikkei is up 0.13%.  Also, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading up 0.32%.  However, the Shanghai Composite is down 0.43%.

American market witnessed mixed business on Wednesday.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 52.82 (0.13%) points at 39,291.  While the NASDAQ rose 25.55 (0.14%) points to close at 18,429.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹314.46 crore on Tuesday (July 9).  Meanwhile, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹1,416.46 crore.

Yesterday the market was at an all time high
Earlier yesterday i.e. on 9th July the market was at an all time high.  Sensex made a high of 80,397 and Nifty made a high of 24,443 during trading.  After this, the Nifty closed at 24,433 with an increase of 112 points.  While Sensex rose 391 points.  It closed at 80,351.  Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 18 gained and 12 gained.
